Dodge's New "Miata Killer" is a BAD idea

Dodge is currently in a very tough spot. With the Hellcat V8 no longer in production, Dodge is now fully dependent on the Hurricane Turbocharged six cylinder and it's Dodge Charger EV variants to please enthusiasts of the MOPAR brand. There seems to be some rumors about them building a new cheaper more accessible sports car rather than say reviving the Dodge Viper. In a perfect world could Dodge take some of the Market share from the Mazda Miata?
