This is the story of Lesha, a student from the “Kovcheg” children’s home in Talgar, Kazakhstan, and his coach, Sultanali. They met through the Supernovas project.
When Lesha first joined the team, he was quiet and afraid of making mistakes. Step by step, with guidance and encouragement, he found his voice. Today, he’s a teammate who gives advice, supports others, and believes in himself.
For his coach, there are no “difficult” children. When a child makes a mistake, it’s not failure; it’s a chance for the coach to step up.
Together, they show how sport can unite children from different social backgrounds, forging them into a single team where trust matters more than the score.
