The peak of the Geminids meteor shower is expected this year on December 13 at 23:30 UT. The Geminids is one of the most popular meteor showers and is one of the "Great Trio" with Perseids in August and Quadrantids in January. These three showers display almost equal activity, but many observers consider the Geminids to be the most spectacular one among them, as its meteors are quite slow and usually bright as opposed to the Perseids and Quadrantids.
