Welcome back! CBR is back at it with a new entry to our retrospective series Then and Now, where we pay our dues to all of our favorite Marvel comic characters and cover everything from their first appearance in comics to their present-day MCU adaptations. With Avengers: Endgame capping off the 11-year run of the MCU’s cinematic reign, we want to take a look back at some of our favorite heroes with CBR’s newest series, and this week, we’re focusing on perhaps the most lethal – and flexible - of them all: Black Widow.

With a spotty past – putting it lightly - stemming from her Soviet Russia roots, Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, is a dynamic and complex character whose appearances throughout the MCU’s run since Iron Man 2 has brought forth an abundance of drama, action, and intense interpersonal relationships that’re rivaled by most of her fellow Avengers. In this video, we’ll cover everything about Ms. Romanoff, from her start in the Red Room to the awe-inspiring sacrifices she made in Avengers: Endgame.
