Andrea Marshall is a young woman on a mission. She has left her friends and family in America to live in Mozambique, devoting her life to studying manta rays. Manta rays are the largest and most highly evolved of all sharks and rays, with a wing span of approximately 5 metres. However, very little is known about these graceful giants of the sea. Their low reproductive rate means the marine biologists have to work fast to secure the future of this species, as they are increasingly targeted by fisheries. This is the story of one woman's determination to understand more about the mysterious manta ray and, in doing so, to protect them from the threat of over-fishing.
