The musician of one of the Moscow restaurants Varakin arrives in San Francisco to kidnap his daughter. Little Anyuta was secretly taken away by his ex-wife Elena, having married a rich American. The girl immediately recognizes Varakin as her own father, reaches out to him and is ready to go with him to her distant homeland. Anyuta runs away with her father, and perhaps their plan to return to Russia would have been successful if the girl had not fallen ill...
