While known for its palace-breaking abilities, the Firebrand is also famous for being an absolute nightmare to face across open areas. The combination of dual PPCs and dual AC/2s mean that any Mech caught in the open will be absolutely wrecked in mere seconds. Little concerned with having to deal with close-in opponents (as few make it that far) the Firebrand only has two Medium Pulse Lasers as backup. That said, the overlapping ranges of all six weapons means that enemy Mechs at virtually any range are taking heavy damage.
