The film is about the Open international competition for the development of a master-plan for the Derbent Urban District, which was held as part of the development program for one of the most ancient Russian cities.
The competition was initiated by the Charity Fund “I Love Derbent” with the support of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan and the Administration of the Derbent Urban District. The competition operator and project consultant was the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER.
The winner of the competition was the Consortium led by Novaya Zemlya, which included Groupe Huit, Mae Architects, West8 and the HSE.
