“This year the main theme of the forum is procurement management in the countries where the New Silk Road will pass. It is a global project, in which China intends to invest over $1 trillion. In light of that, our Chinese partners are highly interested in an efficient management of procurement and supply for its infrastructure projects in Central Asia and Russia. Together with our colleagues from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan we have presented our technological capabilities and spoke about the specific market features and procurement culture in the region”, says Victor Sokovnin, Director of International Development of B2B-Center.

The event has brought together over 800 procurement experts and suppliers’ representatives from China, as well businesspersons from the USA, Russia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.

The forum was organized by the Chinese Logistics and Procurement Association and the Ministry of Trade of Hubei province, and it has been held for ten years already. The initiative is aimed at studying global trends and sharing the best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Cai Jin, Vice President of the Chinese Logistics and Procurement Association, pointed out that procurement and supply chain management is an important part of transboundary trade. He urged the Chinese buyers and suppliers to maximize the potential of innovative solutions facilitating transboundary trade and enhancing competitive power of the Chinese businesses.
