After the colossal smash of 2022 ‘Back To You’, alongside Elley Duhé and X Ambassadors, Lost Frequencies is kicking off 2023 with a bang as now he invites a plethora of genre-straddling artists to add their spin for an exclusive remix package, in bringing a fresh lease of life to the already-adored release.
Opening with a Lost Frequencies Deluxe Mix, the original deeper and spacious track is re-worked into a percussive-leading, afro-house route that has evolved into a club-centric space even further. The sped up toplines and snapping tonal beats that weave and pull in the listener, work in tandem with further layered vocal notes that act as an instrument in themselves, bringing in a chant-like form as polyrhythms of strings, piano keys and pulsating riffs complete its whole new form. Its enchanting, mesmeric and immeasurably excellent to open up proceedings, fortifying the original with a contemporary edit.
Canadian, Billboard Award—nominated artist Dzeko next steps up to the plate with his electro injection of energy. Commencing spacious and allowing Elley Duhé’s vocal to take the reigns, he soon flips the more mellow original into an energetic party space thanks to deep-plunging beats and accelerating BPM’s. Merge this with synths that simmer in their lane, punctuated with sizzling hi-hats and, at times, slightly progressive-leaning features – Dzeko is always ready to get audiences rocking, and this is no exception.
As the first Mexican duo to enter the DJ Mag Top 100, Tom & Collins bring a combination of melodic-leaning house and progressive deeper sounds to take listeners on an instrumental journey. With double-time drums that bring a tribal, sensual element, Elley’s vocals are only heard during the introduction as pulsating, brooding rhythms blend below metallic percussion. It’s an honourable and exciting take, steering ‘Back To You’ to an anticipation-building space of both bliss and boldness.
Subshift is a rising producer on the scene and a more than welcome addition to the fold, introducing himself with an array of funky house. Taking two-stepping strikes, future-pressing melodies and wiggling bass, scattering hi-hats sizzle atop the rotating topline of “I’ve been looking for trouble”, before jumping into the oscillating, high-frequency stratosphere.
Closing out the show, South Africa’s new school finest Kasango injects his signature progressive and atmospheric tastes, shining through the speakers as he lets his productive flair stand tall and omnipresent. Heavy percussion swelling with native drum patterns lean into a cadence that offers a push-and-pull between deep house and jazzy, soulfully rich sounds. Kasango is fast rising up onto radars with his unique and sophisticated productions and this latest remix only confirms this accolade once more.

Lyrics
I heard a million tales before I came to you
One after the other said, time’s the only cure
When love is forever gone
it disappeared like stars at dawn and every road that I’ve been on
It leads me back to you
It leads me back to you
I walked a million miles before I came to you
Heaven wide above my head
Sand beneath my shoes
Life is the saddest song it was nothing until you came along
Cuz every road that I've been on leads me back to you
It leads me back to you
I sold a million lines before I came to you
Guess none of us could read the lie behind the golden truth
Trust can't be counted on
it's as crooked as the amazon
Cuz every road that I’ve been on leads me back to you
It leads me back to you
I’ve been looking for trouble, trouble
I’ve been looking for trouble, trouble
I’ve been looking for trouble, trouble
I’m looking for you
I walked a million miles before I came to you
Heaven wide above my head
Sand beneath my shoes
Life is the saddest song it was nothing until you came along
Cuz every road that I've been on leads me back to you
It leads me back to you
It leads me back to you
Every road that I’ve been on, leads be back to you
