"I knew this song had to be the first single of my solo album when I wrote it. My other new songs capture every feeling that a person has when their nation is started an unfair war: an intense sense of helplessness, sadness for a world gone wrong, and rage at those who are fueling the flames of warfare.

The main feeling of "I Will Be With You" is sympathy for Ukraine, and solidarity serves as the main topic. My intention was to be supportive. I wanted everyone who is fighting for their independence in Ukraine to know that I stand for them.

Simultaneously, I want this song to show solidarity for all Russians, both domestically and internationally, who are fighting to put a stop to this conflict and topple the government that started it. I am here with all of you. Hold onto your hope".
