In Italy, there are over 7,000 rural communities with limited fiber availability. Eolo has been delivering mmWave Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) broadband to these communities since 2018. In partnership with Nokia, Eolo is upgrading their FWA network to 5G mmWave, delivering up to 1Gbps downlink and 200Mbps uplink to consumers and businesses in rural communities across Italy, as well as providing wholesale services to other operators.
