Old Man Goku's Powers Explained

The Dragon Ball franchise has spanned across generations as we’ve watched Goku’s adventures from his childhood through his galaxy-saving adult years. Despite the fact that we’ve seen Goku become a father and a grandfather in that time, he really hasn’t aged a day since the Frieza Saga. While the show has joked around about this from time to time, it really hasn’t gotten in deep as to why Goku ages as slowly as Keanu Reeves. Luckily for you, deeply analyzing the pseudoscience of anime biology is exactly what we do best at CBR!
First we need to look at the raw data. How exactly does Goku age against the humans that we’ve known for the same amount of time? Compare to the likes of Bulma and Krillin, what have the years done to Goku? Next we’ll analyze the possible reasons why his aging process has stopped. We will look at possible answers in Saiyan biology or his intense training. After that, we’ll go back and analyze what we know about the Saiyan race. Do they appear to age at the same progression as Goku and Vegeta?
