Avatar Theory: Bloodbending is the most OP

Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel series, The Legend of Korra, has given us a great look at some amazing bending styles of the years. Besides the primary Earth, Air, Water and Fire elements that people could use to their advantage, there were subsets to each main element that made bending even more powerful. And none are as strong as the dreaded bloodbending.
There are a lot of great subsets of bending like lavabending, lightning bending, and even metalbending, but we feel bloodbending is by far the most powerful. Not just because it can stop any foe in their tracks instantly without them being able to defend themselves, but also because it’s a subset that seems to be continuing to evolve to reach new heights. Think back to when we first saw bloodbending in Avatar. It was thanks to that creepy Hama, who taught Katara that strong waterbenders could bloodbend on a full moon. But of course, over the years that changed and when Aang was an adult, he faced the crime-lord Yakone who could not only bloodbend anytime he wanted, but also could do it without moving his hands. And it was a trait he passed down to his sons. It’s that sort of evolution and constant growth in the time between the two Avatar series that really makes bloodbending the most OP bending style.
So take a look at today’s video all about the bloodbending technique and why we think it’s the most powerful bending style. After you’re done, be sure to tell us in the comments if you agree or if there’s another bending style you think is more powerful!
