Why the MCU Needs a Hulk Origin Story

We know the Marvel Cinematic Universe will never be able to contain all the awesome comic book lore out there, but it seems like they skipped a really important bit of information about Bruce Banner’s backstory. Yes, an unhealthy dose of gamma radiation helped transform him into The Incredible Hulk, but don’t forget about all of the inner rage and trauma the recipe required as well. It’s well past time this hero got his own origin story in the MCU. His standalone film starring Edward Norton didn’t cover enough about his background, and although Mark Ruffalo later hinted at it we’d like to see it play out on the big screen. Looking back at the past could also help connect it with the future of the MCU. Will we ever see Betty Ross again? What about Samuel Sterns’ transformation into the leader? Plus, revealing his past could help explain his relationship with his cousin, Jennifer Walters just in time for She Hulk to get her own show. There are also some fans hoping that a glimpse back in time could also show us Tony Stark in action one last time.
