For years, the Mad Titan Thanos was working in the background of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making it his mission to collect the Infinity Stones and wipe out half of all life. Technically, he did accomplish that goal but now he and the magical McGuffins themselves are long gone, and it was even officially confirmed this time! But that doesn’t mean the MCU is safe as we head into Phase Four of the films. “Avengers: Endgame” may have changed major aspects of the franchise, but there’s sure to be an even bigger, badder threat lurking just around the corner. Especially since “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” is coming out! Will Wanda Maximoff become a foe rather than a friend? Or will the post-credits scene from “Spider-Man: Far From Home” lead to the introduction of some nefarious alien Skrulls? It could even be possible that these magical artifacts are only “gone” by comic book standards and after being reduced to an atomic level they’ll find their way back into the MCU. . .
What do you think will be the next big storyline in the MCU? Will there be another object or objects powerful enough to get the Avengers to assemble or will there be another reason for our favorite heroes to reconvene?
