Attack On Titan loooooves to set up a good mystery. From the first moments of the show, fans were left reeling over what the titans were, what the history of the world was and where exactly Mikasa got that awesome scarf. While the show is well-known for holding its cards close to the chest, it has thankfully let a few secrets out over the years.
Some of these involve the big mysteries of the show. These have to do with how the world works, what the titans are and what exactly those mysterious walls are made of. Then there are the intimate secrets like the ones involving titan-shifters and Eren’s family. Then there’s that one room that the series made us wait YEARS before they revealed. It turns out that it was simultaneously boring and the most exciting thing ever. Each one of these reveals gives us a tiny glimpse into the ever-expanding mythology.
That being said, there are still some fundamental holes in our understanding of the world and conflicts that have existed for centuries in Attack On Titan. While it’s unlikely that the show has enough time to give us every single answer, we know that the important ones will surely be revealed when the show’s fourth and final season inevitably premieres in the fall of 2020.
