Hello true believers! We’re back today with a totally crazy theory that revolves around the man, the myth, the legend, the one and only Stan Lee! And hold onto your socks because we’re about to knock them off when we tell you that all of Stan Lee’s famous cameos in the MCU aren’t just cameos, but rather are the actions of one former Avengers keeping a watchful eye over the entire Marvel universe to make sure everything stays intact. That’s right, the character played by Stan Lee in every MCU movie is actually Old Man Steve Rogers AKA Captain America himself.
Now we know what you might be thinking, that this is just too crazy to be true, but if you actually go back and look at all of Stan Lee’s cameos, you could make the case that they were all Steve Rogers in disguise, helping out the universe where it’s needed. Whether it’s helping his younger self steal a suit in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, or helping Thor and SHIELD find Mjolnir in the first Thor movie, to getting able to make fun of Tony Stark by calling him Tony Stank in Captain America: Civil War, this theory argues that Steve was undercover this whole time trying to keep the universe in balance. And we know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 basically confirmed Stan Lee’s role in the MCU by being a Watcher Informant, but this theory suggests there’s way more to that story than meets the eye!
