Dragon Ball Super may be the newest Dragon Ball on the block, but it’s proven itself to be a worthy successor to the shows that came before it. It has incredible action, terrifying villains and possibly the best tournament arc in anime history.
Goku and his friends left Dragon Ball Z having saved the world from Majin Buu’s reign of terror. From there, Super picked up by introducing us to a whole new pantheon of intimidating figures for the gang to go up against. The show also didn’t ignore the past as it made good use of heroes and villains that were fan-favorites in previous series.
The show then expanded itself even more by giving us an entire multiverse of interesting characters and terrifying villains. As fun as it is to watch Goku go up against villains in his own universe, it was even better to see him challenge heroes from other realities. All of this ended up getting framed around the biggest conflict our heroes have ever faced, the fate of the multiverse itself!
So with all of these amazing arcs to choose from, which one is the most epic? Super has resurrected evil galactic despots, shown us a terrifying alternate future and changed what it means to be a Super Saiyan.
