It’s been a tumultuous road for the third entry to the Guardians of the Galaxy, but now that James Gunn has been restored to the helm we’re set to see the galactic misfits finish their story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or at least this arc. The team has been through a lot since Rocket stole some batteries and Peter Quill, the Star Lord, found out his father was Ego the Living Planet. They came across the decimated Asgardians, teamed up with some Avengers to fight Thanos, lost Gamora but also gained Gamora but from earlier Gamora who was the Gamora they met at the beginning...Time travel is confusing.

So what’s next for Star Lord, Gamora and her sister Nebula, Drax, Rocket, Mantis, and everyone’s favorite Groot? There is literally a galaxy of stories available for the galactic guardians. They could face Annihilus, or even their future past selves. They could reach into the past of their members like Drax, Gamora, or even the Flora Colossus Groot. There are even other galactic characters in the universe that are waiting to get the introduction from the MCU’s cosmic ambassadors. Adam Warlock has been waiting in the wings since the first movie, but there’s room for their old foes the Badoon, or a chance to meet cosmic wanderers like the Silver Surfer or the Cosmic Ghost Rider. You heard me. With so many possibilities let’s look at what might be the coolest stories to happen, including maybe finally getting Beta Ray Bill.
