The Mandalorian has officially captured the hearts and minds of a huge audience, thanks in large part to the man behind the helmet! Without ever revealing his face, The Mandalorian somehow manages to express a ton of emotions, and has people rooting for him and Baby Yoda to make it through! But if the voice of The Mandalorian seems familiar, there’s a very good reason for that. Chances are, you’ve seen the actor under the helmet on more than one occasion, even if you didn’t realize it!
His name is Pedro Pascal, a Chilean-Amercian actor who has been making waves in film and TV for years now. But he only rose to prominence with wider audiences after getting a recurring role on a pretty huge show you might have heard of called Game of Thrones. Pascal took on the role of Oberyn Martel, and quickly set about charming anyone who laid eyes on him. The fun loving father of eight and expert with a spear featured prominently on the fourth season of the show, until he suffered a fate that none of us could have seen coming.
After that, Pascal landed a part on the hugely popular Netflix drama Narcos, and quickly became a household name. Taking on the role of a real life FBI agent who had a big hand in investigating Pablo Escobar. Both of those roles, along with parts in The Kingsman 2 and The Equalizer 2 helped Pascal develop a ton of skills that he brings to The Mandalorian every single week.
