We all want to know more about Baby Yoda, like: where does he come from? And, can I have him? And yet for some reason, we still have almost no information about where he comes from, and the people are hungry for answers! So much so, that they have taken to the internet to do what they do best: come up with wild theories about Baby Yoda’s true origins. And they do not disappoint!
Our favourite fan theories are ones that are well researched and thoughtful, while simultaneously completely insane. One of the best theories out there that straddles both of those worlds perfectly has got to be that Baby Yoda is actually a fungus! While it definitely sounds too crazy to be true, there is actually some interesting evidence that might just support it. Another totally out there theory that has to be seen to be believed is the one that Baby Yoda is a Horcrux! As in, one of the objects that Lord Voldomort hid bits of his soul in so that his life force could never be extinguished even if his body was destroyed. Yeah, that kind of Horcrux! Other theories range from the more logical: that Baby Yoda is the forbidden lovechild of Yoda and Yaddle that they had to hide away because of his extreme power and because they broke Jedi code in conceiving him, to the cynical: that Baby Yoda is all just one big marketing ploy by the Disney executives behind The Mandalorian.
