Now that Disney Plus has officially launched, we can’t wait to see all of the original content that they will be releasing over the next couple of years. Especially the impressive slate of Marvel TV shows that we’ll be getting starting in 2020! One of the shows we are most excited for has got to be Hawkeye! Not only will we finally be getting some real backstory on the mysterious character, but the show will feature a partnership between Clint Baron and his protege, Kate Bishop. It’s the first time Bishop will be brought to the screen, and she’s too good of a character to keep under wraps!
If you don’t know about her, Kate Bishop was introduced in the comics as the daughter of a wealthy New York family, who never really knew her mother and had a distant relationship with her father. After a terrible incident in Central Park, she began to develop her skills in different styles of martial arts, archery, and sword fighting. Eventually she became a member of the Young Avengers, and was given the mantle of the new Hawkeye after she spoke up to Captain America. She would go on to team up with Clint Barton later on, along with her one eyed dog who loves pizza. While Hailee Steinfeld was originally slated to star, things around casting have gotten a little more murky in recent days. Check out the video below for all the info on Kate Bishop and Hawkeye!
