The fourth Rick & Morty season has finally premiered and with the newest season comes a whole array of novel items from their rich multiverse, including a set of special crystals. The name of the crystals unfortunately can’t be said in full as some of the busybodies of Youtube have deemed the term too macabre for the website, so from here on out they will be called demise crystals. The demise crystals are a central part of the episode which make reference to previous story arcs in earlier seasons and other animated series, all the while probing the audience with existential themes and questions, which the show has become known for.
