The Infinity Stones are six cosmic artifacts that were created with the big bang and they are considered to be some of the most powerful objects in all of creation.
Ever since the Tesseract was teased in the post-credits scene of 2011’s Thor, the Infinity Stones have been playing a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so much so that the three MCU phases are known as the Infinity Saga.
While in the last few years, all eyes were on Thanos collecting the six gems and using them to achieve his own goals, it’s easy to forget about an interesting concept that Marvel Studios have introduced in their movies with the stones.
Unlike the comics, there are heroes in the MCU who have received amazing abilities from the Infinity Stones, and those heroes have become some of the most powerful beings in the Marvel movies.
These two characters are Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch, who were granted their abilities from the space and mind stones.
Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch are clearly the two most powerful heroes in the MCU right now, but it seems like the movies barely put any focus into how they got their powers.
The MCU has set an important precedent when it was revealed that Infinity Stones can grant people powers and we think that there’s a lot of story to tell with this concept.
In this video, we’ll explore how it might’ve happened and what it could mean for the future of the MCU.
