The MCU has delivered some amazing villains in the past, but none have instilled as much fear in us as the Mad Titan himself, Thanos. When the villain finally made his presence known in Infinity War, fans were understandably curious about whether Thanos could meet the crazy high expectations that had slowly grown with every small appearance over the years or if he would just end up being another Malekith, meaning a complete disappointment.
Thankfully for us, and unfortunately for the Avengers, Thanos proved to be a terrifying villain and quickly proved himself as one of the best villains in all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But what made him so terrifying? Was it his insane strength levels that allowed him to wield the Infinity Stones and beat the Hulk to a pulp? Was it the long-lasting legacy that he helped create when he accomplished his ultimate goal? Or was it maybe because deep down, we agree with what Thanos was trying to do? That last one might be the most terrifying thought of all!
