There are a lot of things that a Bromance can form around, a shared experience or hobby. Or maybe it can be something like being two of the smartest people on the planet who have a part time job as superheroes who save the world. It’s the latter that has formed the basis for one of the best loved friendships in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That’s the bromance between super scientists Bruce Banner and Tony Stark. Tony Stark turned his weapons making know how to right the wrongs selling his weapons had done in the world and made himself suits of armor to take on the world’s threats. Bruce Banner had been pressured to recreate the Super Soldier serum and instead turned himself into an unstoppable smashing machine the Ever Lovin’ Hulk. They’ve bonded over understanding the science of Loki’s plan in the Avengers, creating Ultron and then Vision in order to stop Ultron, and then creating a time machine to undo the damage that Thanos had done to the universe by snapping half of it out of existence with his Infinity Stone encrusted Infinity Gauntlet. While they’ve encountered other smart people like Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy that put their intelligence in perspective, but genius is more than just knowing things, it’s also the mental agility to figure things out. While teammates like Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow hold their own when it comes to punching and kicking time, when it’s a problem that needs brain power it’s the science bros that come to the rescue.
