If you love DC Comics then you’re probably excited about the fact that we get a brand new Joker movie to wash the taste of Suicide Squad out of our mouths. But the latest flick might be more controversial than you might think. Director Todd Phillips made some statements about why he abandoned the comedy genre that some fans had issues with. Even Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi seemed to think there might be other reasons people weren’t laughing at the Hangover movies. We’ll explain why some movie theaters are taking additional precautions and banning face paint as they get ready to show the film. Joaquin Phoenix portrays Arthur Fleck and he has some strong opinions on why the film is worth seeing despite all of the issues some people have with it. Come on, you weren’t fooled by his behind the scenes outburst on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Were you? They say all publicity is good publicity and if that’s true, this flick might just break some serious records.
