So you consider yourself a fan of comic book films? Even if you’re up to date on the latest in the MCU there are still tons of cancelled Marvel movies you never got to see. Although we eventually got Black Panther it wasn’t starring Wesley Snipes like it was originally going to. And Scarlett Johansson came close to missing out on the chance to be Black Widow. Doctor Strange got made but it was originally going to feature the talents of Guillermo del Toro and Neil Gaiman. The Inhumans nearly made their big screen debut before the project was cancelled, and War Machine never did end up getting his own standalone film. Ant-Man was precariously close to being a very different movie before “creative differences” meant it went in an entirely different direction. We’ve all seen Doctor Doom on the big screen in various Fantastic Four films, but this notorious villain very nearly had his very own time to shine in theaters. Before X-Men Origins: Wolverine was a thing, the film nearly focused on the insidious Magneto instead. While we’re all mourning the MCU’s loss of Tom Holland, let’s talk about how we never got to see Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 or James Cameron’s take on our hero Peter Parker.
