In Avengers: Infinity War, Doctor Strange used the time stone to look into the future to find out what will be the outcome of the battle against Thanos.
Doctor Strange witnessed 14,000,605 possible futures and only one of them led to a future where the Avengers are able to defeat the Mad Titan Thanos and save the universe.
