Of course, it’s super exciting whenever a hero proves they’re capable of handling a weapon made of fancy Asgardian uru metal, but you might be surprised how many bad guys have found their way around the requirements normally in place. In the history of the comic books, we’ve seen some villains who lifted Mjolnir despite being some of the least worthy characters around. While Black Widow may have been a hero during her time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her past is less than squeaky clean, but this hasn’t stopped her from holding the legendary hammer. Captain America is normally a hero, unless of course, he’s being mind-controlled by HYDRA. Characters like the infamous trickster Loki and even the Mad Titan Thanos have used manipulation to cause normally good characters like the Incredible Hulk and Storm to go bad and use the hammer for evil. Even X-Men characters like Magneto, Rogue and the League of Evil Mutants have been known to handle the hammer from time to time. Some characters may seem less than impressive, like Air Walker, but they’re really being backed by some god-tier creatures like Galactus.
