What do you think is worse? Having Spongebob or Squidward as your neighbor? With Spongebob, you’ll get a good friend, but someone who might drive you crazy with their overeager attitude and general annoyingness. With Squidward, you might not have the best person for a neighborhood game night, but at least he’ll leave you alone most of the time. Even though Squidward has a reputation for being the unfun one of the Spongebob Squarepants main characters, he’s the guy who has shown the most ability to change from jerk to pretty chill dude time and time again.

Despite his hardened, probably crusty exterior, Squidward actually cares a lot about the people in his life and would do a lot of things to make them happy, even if he won’t admit it. Sure, we all think Squidward is just some recluse who plays bad clarinet music and yells at Spongebob all the time, but think of all the heartfelt moments Squidward has given us throughout the show. Things like giving away all his possessions while dressed as Santa to make Spongebob happy or how he defended Spongebob once a rude customer hurt his feelings over a botched pizza delivery. And, of course, who could forget the time Squidward thought he fed Spongebob a pie bomb and vowed to spend the day doing whatever he wanted in order to make Spongebob happy!

Overall, Squidward has proven himself to have one of the biggest hearts in all of Bikini Bottom so, today, we’re going to be looking at Squidward’s nicest moments throughout the show. So sit back, relax and be sure to leave a comment after you’re done!
