For a period of time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we saw the God of Thunder seemingly quite intent on maintaining his home and the Asgardians who were loyal to himself and his family, but then, in Avengers: Endgame, he decided he was totally over it, hopped on a spaceship and took off into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Talk about irresponsible. Where he’s been has been kind of a mystery, but now that we know about Phase Four, we have some idea of when we’ll be seeing him again. Thor 4 is apparently going to be a thing and Love and Thunder will feature none other than Jane Foster as the new Mighty Thor, presumable protector of New Asgard and ally to Valkyrie, but what about the original Odinson?

We’ll talk about what Odinson might have been up to since we last saw him and why he might no longer be worthy of Mjolnir. Not that he’s lacking in Asgardian weapons, but still, that hammer has some heavy sentimental value. In addition to the characters we’ve already seen him interact with, it’s possible he could meet others in the vast reaches of space, including one who was supposed to make an appearance in Ragnarok. Could this be the occasion to introduce a fan favorite comic book character into the MCU?
