Vegeta is a stubborn character, there’s no denying that. This, combined with his infamous Saiyan Pride, has led him to be a hard man to impress, especially in battle. However, there are some key points throughout Dragon Ball Z and even Dragon Ball Super where Vegeta has been left impressed. From the Saiyan Saga to the Buu Saga, Vegeta has been left slack jawed or floored, even if he didn’t want to admit it.
Some specific examples of this include when he saw Goku’s Super Saiyan form for the first time in the Frieza Saga, when he saw that his son could do the same in the Buu Saga and when he faced Jiren in the Tournament of Power during the Universal Survival Saga. Vegeta being impressed was once in itself an impressive thing since, in his early days, he thought of himself as the strongest warrior in the universe, so admitting someone’s power was impressive was rare and surprising for him. Though it’s less impressive in more recent Sagas, it’s still worth noting whenever the character admits another warrior is powerful, like when he faced Broly inDragon Ball Super: Broly, the legendary Saiyan’s power left him impressed and even pretty worried.
Vegeta being impressed is a rare and somewhat interesting sight from the Cell Saga to the Broly Saga, which is why we wanted to go through some of the rare instances where this actually happened. Check out this video to see all of these moments and subscribe to CBR for more anime content. Enjoy!
