Everyone knows the Saiyans are one of the most powerful species in the Dragon Ball universe, but despite their enormous strength, they’ve been all but annihilated. Most fans know characters like Goku, Vegeta and Broly once lived on Planet Vegeta, but there was at least one other Saiyan homeworld before that point. While Frieza may have been responsible for nearly wiping out the Saiyans, some innate Saiyan traits may have caused their extinction even without his involvement. The Saiyans have been at war with many races, including the once peaceful Tuffle people. We’ll go over the complete history of the Saiyan race from their primate beginnings to the few survivors who exist in the present day.
