Piccolo is a strong character, there’s no denying that. For a long period of time, he was either stronger than or on-par with the likes of Goku and Vegeta. He’s shown countless times that he can roll with the best warriors in Dragon Ball, but he’s also had his fair share of devastating defeats. In this video, we look at some of the character’s worst defeats in the Piccolo Jr. Saga, the Saiyan Saga, the Frieza Saga, the Cell Saga and the Buu Saga.

Some examples of Piccolo’s worst defeats are when he faced Imperfect Cell, when he sacrificed himself for Gohan in the Saiyan Saga and, of course, when he lost to Goku at the World Martial Arts Tournament. In almost every instance of Piccolo being badly beaten, he still put up one hell of a fight, especially when he faced Goku and when he battled against Frieza’s second form. Suffice to say, Piccolo is one tough opponent to beat, which is why there are actually so few examples of the Namekian getting his butt whooped!

That said, there are still some prominent examples of Piccolo losing a battle and getting badly beaten in the process all throughout the Dragon Ball franchise.
