The Things Marvel Swept Under The Rug And Hoped We Forgot

When you have a franchise that spans over 20 movies, and 11 years, eventually, something is going to have to get removed. Unfortunately for Marvel fans, that ended up being quite a lot. Basically all of The Incredible Hulk got retconned, as well as Iron Man and even Ant-Man. There's still a chance these stories could go somewhere, but with the Infinity War Saga wrapping up, were not so sure anymore.
All of these storylines could’ve led somewhere amazing, but Marvel seems content with just sweeping them under the rug. For a few of them, its for the better, but in the end, the fans are ultimately the ones who lose. We’re not saying we wanted to see 10 years of a Bruce and Betty Ross relationship, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt the franchise. After all, Hulk and Black Widow's relationship lasted a whole 30 seconds on screen.
What's even worse for Marvel fans is the purchase from Disney. If you thought that the retcon problem was bad now, we might expect to see even more of it now that Disney is in control. Star Wars saw a massive purge of its extended universe, but, hopefully, they keep the Marvel franchises intact. Seeing as how large each and every Marvel franchise is, it might be a poor decision for Disney to eradicate each and every one of these stories.
Only time will tell, but, for now, let's take a look at all the things Marvel either conveniently forgot, swept under the rug or are waiting on bringing back.
