Dragon Ball is an extremely iconic franchise, both because it’s been around for so long and because it knew how to use captivating and exciting setpieces to tell a story. This is to say that some of the best story moments in the series also have a great spectacle to go with them, something that became synonymous with these peaks in storytelling. Things like Goku and Vegeta’s first battle, especially the Kamehameha Vs. Galick Gun moment and the death of King Piccolo are now iconic moments of the series. With great iconography comes the need for great appreciation, meaning many of these iconic moments have become some of the most paused, eye-catching moments in the franchise.
Other highly paused moments include the arrival of the Saiyans, Piccolo’s self-dismemberment at the World Martial Arts Tournament and the infamous “Over 9000” scene, all of which have likely been stopped on countless times, be it to screencap something for a meme or just to admire the visuals. Other likely highly paused moments are Goku’s first Super Saiyan transformation, Gohan’s ascension to Super Saiyan 2, Future Trunks’ first appearance and, of course, all of the perverted moments that appeal to a certain kind of crowd. Suffice to say, there are plenty of moments throughout Dragon Ball that have caught fans’ eyes for some reason or another and, in this video, we go through the most paused of them all. Enjoy the video and let us know what you think of it down in the comments.
