There are some items in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’re just iconic and one of them is definitely the Vibranium shield wielded by Captain America. This shield was given to Steve Rogers by Howard Stark, the father of Tony Stark. It’s become a symbol of justice, but it also regularly breaks the laws of science. Today, we’ll talk about some of the most impossible feats accomplished by this object. Sam Wilson is going to have to forget absolutely everything he ever learned about physics if he wants to embrace his new superhero persona.
In The Winter Soldier, we saw it take down the spinning propeller blades of an aircraft and yet be gentle enough to cushion a fall. The Mad Titan Thanos made short work of it in Avengers: Endgame, yet it was able to withstand the strength of Mjolnir in the first Avengers movie. Would the electromagnetic attachment we saw in Age of Ultron really work the way we’ve seen it on the big screen?
What do you think about this incredibly versatile weapon? Is it a bit too convenient to be believable or do you think it’s perfect the way it is? Is there another part of the MCU you find too hard to believe?
