It’s safe to say that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers have come a long way since they were first introduced into the MCU. Captain America was known for his unflagging moral compass and dedication to justice and Iron Man was known for being a warmongering narcissist, but both of these characters have come a long way both as individuals and in their relationship with one another. Today, we’re going to be talking about what nobody realized about these two Avengers in Avengers: Endgame.

Although they missed each other in Avengers: Infinity War, they ended up revisiting some old sites together, including the infamous Battle of New York. Going into Endgame, one of the popular theories was that one of these characters would sacrifice himself to save the lives of others. Things didn’t play out exactly the way we thought they would and, in a way, these two characters showed how much they’d been influenced by the other. Their friendship has been through some ups and downs and now they’ve experienced time travel and staring down the Mad Titan Thanos together.
