Dragon Ball is full of some of the most emotionally devastating moments in all of anime history; everything from Krillin’s many deaths to rage-filled scenes that had us just as angry as the characters on screen. Despite the franchise’s original focus being on comedy and despite it turning into a superhuman martial arts action series, there are still plenty of emotional scenes throughout it.
In this video, we go through some of the most emotional scenes in the franchise, from Vegeta’s sacrifice to Piccolo’s change of heart and everything in between. While most of these center around sad deaths, there are a few in the video that pulled at some other emotional heartstrings, like when we felt Goku’s anger at Krillin’s demise or when Goku lovingly reunited when his friends and family.
