When Captain Marvel hit the big screen, we were eager to see Carol Danvers take on the mantle of Captain Marvel. Only, as you probably know, it never happened. While we saw clues that she had obtained the rank of Captain during her military career on Earth, we also learned she felt totally disconnected from that life. In the comic books, she’s reluctant to take on the title in honor of her mentor, Mar-Vell. Instead, she goes through titles like Ms. Marvel, Binary and Warbird until she gets some encouragement from a surprising source. We’ll explore what might happen between Captain Marvel and Captain America when Avengers: Endgame hits theaters.
