As the Marvel Cinematic Universe has expanded, it’s become more than a series of related movies and sequels. The twenty plus movies that make up the MCU are only the beginning. There’s broadcast and streaming shows, tie in comics and short films. With the world running on social media and having unprecedented access to the film makers, revelations have come from the actors and filmmakers as well, sometimes confirming fan theories and other times shedding more light on the backstory of scenes that may not have been on the screen.

Either way, the MCU has become as rich and deep as the comics that inspired it. However, we’ve found out the hunger for even more story and more detail can be fed from many sources, so let’s take a look at some times we learned something about the MCU outside the movie theater.
