Nowadays, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, better known as the MCU, is an absolute behemoth at the box office. We love its stories about our favorite superheroes, but it turns out that Marvel has a pretty interesting history of its own. We’ll talk about how it first started out as Timely Comics, long before Stan Lee was appearing in movie cameos, and let you know why the company really declared bankruptcy. And, of course, we’ll go over how it was pulled back from the brink of destruction and how it finally managed to add Spider-Man to its movie lineup after all this time.
