Thanos and Iron Man have had their differences. The fight on Titan with Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy was an amazing climax in Avengers: Infinity War, but just like in the first Avengers movie, Tony’s one on one duel with the big bad villain revealed more about the motivation of both the heroes and the villains.

The villain telling the hero that they’re not so different when it comes to Thanos and Iron Man might not be too far off the mark. They’ve both cast themselves as the unlikely heroes that the world or the Universe needs but doesn’t understand and they’re working to unilaterally save society whether anyone likes it or not, so let’s look at some of the parallels between the two.
