The saying goes, big things come in small packages, and one of the most common anime tropes is that the character who’s the smallest and most unassuming is the most powerful. There are so many anime nowadays where the protagonist is some unassuming, bland looking male that becomes the center of attention and gets all the powers, all the girls and, yet, is still a complete bumbling moron. Well, there are certainly a lot more interesting characters in this list than in most other lists about “characters who look weak but are actually strong.”
