The Pokemon anime sure has its fair share of incredible moments. From epic fight scenes to incredible evolutions to some flat out hilarious jokes, these moments are why the anime is still going on strong today. That being said, despite it being a kid’s show, there’ve been some really sad moments throughout the Pokemon anime that still make us cry when we watch them today.

The first episode of Pokemon was the most memorable one since it was when we first met Ash and Pikachu, but it was also nearly the last time we even got to see the cute electric mouse. We’ve even seen both Ash and Pikachu turn to stone, which seems to be a trend in the anime for some reason. We’ll never forget those tearful goodbyes to some of Ash’s Pokemon either.
