Easily one of the more controversial shows on Cartoon Network right now is Teen Titans Go. The hate for the show runs deep and is controversial for multiple reasons. The biggest one upsetting the fans is its totally reimagining the beloved original Teen Titans that aired in the early 2000’s. Teen Titans didn’t blow anyone away in the ratings, but had a diehard fan base. It also has turned many people off for its subject matter suggesting that it not only has bad messages for kids, but totally lacks the depth and smart writing of the original Teen Titans.

Fans of Cartoons Network’s older content are diehard fans and like to keep the classics classic and hate that Teen Titans was revamped Teen Titans into the brightly colored, chibi Teen Titans Go! It’s a far cry from the mature themes that the OG Teen Titans dealt with. Mess with something with such a strong fan base and you’re going to get burned, Cartoon Network.
