Not only is the Joker the most popular entry in Batman’s rogue gallery, but he’s widely considered one of the greatest fictional characters of all-time. Today, we’re going to be talking about the evolution of this iconic character and going over some of the many versions.

We’ll tell you his surprising origin from the comic books and what went wrong with the animated series. Then, we have the movies, including Tim Burton’s Batman and the massive change in character we saw in The Dark Knight. Perhaps most controversial of all is Jared Leto’s Joker from Suicide Squad, which we’ll be seeing again in more movies, but of course, we can’t wait to find out more about the Joaquin Phoenix version from the upcoming Joker movie.
