Behind every kick and punch is a hard-working stunt double who does their best to bring the incredible feats of superheroes and superhumans to life. Whether because of physical limitations, contractual obligations or safety reasons, the actors cast as superheroes have to step aside and let these physically formidable professionals step in as their stunt doubles. Some actors do their own stunts, but are usually advised not to.

Stunt doubles can do it all. Whether it’s martial arts, acrobatics, bodybuilding, car racing and motorcycle racing, the more skills they have, the better. Some have a striking resemblance to the actors they’re doubling while others are chosen due to their wide range of skills. In fact, many stunt doubles are actors themselves!
